Prides Creek

Road ride down to Prides Creek again this morning. I took a little different route this time and it ended up being right at 28 miles. It was a good ride even with some head wind and ended up with a 18.5 mph average. I spent the whole day down there doing lots of different things. As it was getting later in the day, the wind was really starting to pick up. We got to thinking that it would be a good tail wind for the ride home insted of driving. So we hopped back on the bikes and headed for home. Even with a strong tail wind, it seemed like there was a head wind. We were making good time until I ran over something large in the road and flatted my rear tire. I had a little trouble fixing the tire so it took much longer then I wanted. Finally the tire was fixed and we were back on the road. The break took a lot out of our legs, but we were still doing good. Before the flat we were averaging 24 mph, but it dropped down to 22 mph by the time we got home. Still a good ride in all.
