Well I am not sure what the deal is, but I am becoming a real head case. Well, I guess I know part of the problem, but I am not sure that I can do anything about that.
I really need to get out and RIDE!!! I do not care if it is on the SS or the FS, but I need to get out.
Christmas is just around the corner and for some reason I do not feel very merry. I hope that changes. If not, then I guess I will just have another captain and see if it gets any better.
I hope everyone has a Happy Holiday!

Where does the time go?
Man it has been a while since I put anything on here. That does not mean that nothing has been going on. Quite the opposite. I have been way too busy to keep up. Seems like I am only home one night a week.
I got my new bmx cruiser in and have been building it. I am now just waiting on some wheels that should be comming. The SS rig has it's new chain rings and chain on, just waiting for me to take it out. I would like to go for a nice ride, but with all of the rain and hunting season, I have not had the chance.
There is another bowing tournament this weekend. I am hoping that I can do well and maybe even win some money.
Christmas will be here before I know it. That means the new year is just around the corner. I will try not to each to much for the holiday's, but it will be hard. I really should be training hard to get in shape for the next season of what ever racing I end up doing. The plate is full and there is another scoop getting ready to be put on.
This summer:
Race BMX
Race MTB XC on SS
do some 12 or 24 hour races
do more epic rides at Pisgah
compete in a few bowing tournaments
finish trails in yard
paint house
paint a few rooms inside
new floor in dining room and kitchen
build storage building
work on lake cabin ( too much stuff to even make a list)
and in the free time I guess I will try to enjoy myself. LOL! It should be 2006 before I know it!

more bad luck
Well, the BMX race is out and the Thanksgiving ride is out. My hot water heater went out last week, so all of my money for the race is now spent! That sucks! Oh well, my new bike is still not here yet. I am expecting it today. I will need to get it built and get some practice on it before I try to race somewhere.
What am I going to do this weekend? Well, I actually have a few day's off of work. I have been work 6 full day's a week. I plan on getting on a bike some time. I don't care where I go, but I want on a bike!!!
I have my new chain ring on the SS. I now need to put the new cog and chain on and I will be set. If this rain ever stops, I just might be able to get int the woods some time.
Well, not much else going on here. I still hate most of my life! I can always hope that a bag of money hits me in the head!
See you later!

Slacker!
Wow, what a slacker I am. Sorry it has been so long since I posted. (I sound like someone actually reads this thing!) Any ways, I have a couple of different parts for my SS I need to get on. They I hope that it rides good for the winter. Plans are to get out as much as I can, but I am going to wait until gun season is over. I have thought about putting some antlers on my helmet, but I figure there are a few people out there that just might miss me. I guess it is not that bad, I have just been depressed lately. Work sucks, no time to ride, not enough money to go around, and I am sure I can find a few other things to complain about.....
I went for a ride last weekend. My first time in the woods since the Pisgah trip. I rode like shit! It felt like I had two flat tires and was holding the brakes half way down. I hope it doesn't stay that way. SS will be real tough if it does. Then again, it just might be what I need to force myself over the hill.
I will be bowling in a tournament this weekend. I hope I can win me some money! Actually, I just hope I bowl good. Last year I didn't even get my average once.
I have also decided that I will be racing BMX at the Thanksgiving National insted of heading out for a long Pisgah weekend. I should have the new Porter frame in by then. I just hope I can still ride! It has been way too long.
See you next time!

Rain on Monday
Well, it is Monday and it is raining again! This has to be the worst day of the week. You have to go back to work after a short weekend, find the large pile of work on your desk you left Friday and then it is raining.
I hope everyone goes out and votes tomorrow. It is your right and you should use it.
I purchased the bowling ball that I tried last week. It is used and cheep and worked great. I rolled a 238 Saturday with it after I set it up. Considering I was just screwing around with it trying to see what works, I am really happy with how hard this ball hits. I guess we will see tonight if I can make it work again.
Well, I am working on lining up another weekend in the mountains. I am not sure I can handle 3-4 day's of riding, but I will see what I can do. I know the day trips will be long and hard. I just need to see if I have enough clothes to wear in November for any kind of riding. I guess I have a few weekes to figure out what I have and what I will need.

Still gone
Well, I am really going to be in the dog house now. I had to sub again last night. So, that means that I have not been home for 11 day's. I think my kids are forgetting who I am!
Well, like I said, I had to sub again. I did fairly well. I was trying 0ut a different ball. It was someone elses so the figer tips were not right, but worked. I ended up with a 583 series or a 194 ave. I rolled a 192, 174 and a 217.
My savings pile is starting to build up. Well, not much, but it doesn't take much for me to start shopping. I am ready to buy anything. I have been looking for a used 1x1 to save some money from getting a new one. I gues we will see what I can find.
The Cardinals blew it last night. Oh well, at least they mad it. The Cubs choked long ago.
See ya

WOW!
That is what keeps going through my mind when I think about last weekend. What a ride in the mountains. Pisgah National Forest is awesome! I rode about 15 miles each day. It took close to 5 hours to do each ride. We climbed over 4000' on Sunday. It is worth the trip. I would take a full suspended geard bike for that trip. I hate that I just said that, but it is the truth.
That was the closest I have ever been to wanting a big hit bike. It would only be for the down hills, pushing that thing up hill would suck!
Other than being a long weekend and getting home real late Sunday, it was well worth it.
Last night I had to work late. I was late for bowling and then had to come back to work to finish printing something. Another night getting to bed late and I have to work till close tonight.
I ended up bowling a 580 series. Not too bad for the troubles I was was having. I rolled a 193, 205, 182
I have been told that my bmx cruiser should be in next week. Then I will have another bike I need to build. That gives me a few weeks before the Thanksgiving National to see if I can ride a cruiser.
Well to much going on. Enjoy this great day! yea, right!

Wed night bowling
Well, it didn't get any better last night. But, I didn't do too bad. I ended up with a 570 series or a 190 ave. I had a 196, 200, and 174. Free pizza, the beer was going down good and I did win a few hands of cards. All in all a good night.
I started packing for the big ride this weekend. Sounds like it should be interesting.
I will be packing the camera, so I hope to have some good pictures.
Off to bowl again tonight, but not until I make a stop by Yaggies for some $1 schooners! Yum!

SS-DD
Well just more of the same. I guess that is what life is.
Bowing didn't go too bad Monday. I ended up with a 582 or a 194 ave. I can't complain for all the struggling I had. I have to sub tonight and tomorrow night, so I guess I can see if it gets better.
Looks like it is a busy week. I have not been out every night this week, and it is not going to be any better untill next wednesday! I am heading out of town this weekend for a big trip to Pisgah for some crazy epic riding. I am looking forward to the 5 mile down hill!
Not much else to say. Enjoy!

Rainy Monday blues
Well here we are back for another week and it looks like more rain! I have had enough rain. I know we needed it, but does it have to rain for a week straight? At least it let us have a few good days this weekend.
The boy went crazy at soccer this weekend. He had 7 goals! Needless to say they won.
I had to work last night, so I could not see St. Louis loose there second game in a row. They better get on the ball if they want to go to the world series. I did get to put some new grips in by bowling ball at work and then tried it out for a few games. I had a 199 and a 220. We will see how it turnes out tonight.
Everyone do there anti-rain dance for the weekend!

More drinks on a Friday night
I know it is hard to imagine, but I have a few more drinks friday night. I went out to the night for Knights for a good meal and probably a few drinks. Well, needless to say after a few beers I found out that all the drinks were only $1. So, I switched over to some capt. Morgan and Coke.
They were flowing way too good and it made it hard to get up for work Saturday morning.
I worked on the bike after work so I could get out some. Well, I made it out, but the bike was not cooperating with me. The Singulator is not working and will not keep tension on the chain. I could not stand up and really climb. So, I just hit the trails that I could do and tried to enjoy myself.
Next weekend is the big MTB Fest that I think I will be going to. Three day's of riding with a little trail work thrown in too. Should be a good time.
I really need some more money to get me a new SS bike!

Thursday night beer night
As usual I was at Yaggies for $1 schooner night. The beer was tasting good and I only lost one round. I could stay a little longer this week because I was not called as a sub for bowling.
I also tried to stay up and watch St. Louis win there second game in the series. unfortunately, too many schooners and with a rain delay I did not make it.
Another week has came and gone. This time with plenty of rain. What is wrong with mother nature? Why can there not be a more constant cycle. Let everything get completly dried out and then lets rain for a week! Moderation would be nice!
With the weather cooling down it scares me that the riding season is closing. I know I will still get out, but it looks like it will start to depend on the weather. - L8er

Here we go
Ok, I really do not know why I am putting this out here. I guess because I have found myself reading several blogs. Either that or it is the fact that most people do not listen to me?
Anyway. I have found myself thinking non-stop about riding singlespeed. I have recently converted an old hard tail mtb to a SS. Now my new FS rig with tons of gears, just sits there and collects dust. I am working on figuring out how I can come up with some money to get a full out single speed bike. I guess it will just have to wait for a little bit.
